Engine 7-2 was placed in service on March 22, 1992. It replaced the 1977 Hamerly Tanker, which was sold to the New Glasboro Fire Dept. in Prince Edward Island in Canada. 7-2 was built by FWD Seagrave in Clintonville, WS. It features a ten man, four door, enclosed cab; a 450 HP Detroit Disel with an HT740 transmission. It also has a 1750 waterous pump, a 1250 gal. poly tank, a 10" Newton dump with jet assist. It has rescue body compartments, front and rear intakes, a 5" hi volume discharge, 1250' 5" angus hose, 4-1 3/4 crosslay, 2" crosslay, 2-3" quick fills, and a premounted foam line. It is equipped with a 8 MSA 4500psi SCBA' S ,RIT pack, a MSA 5000 Thermal Imaging Camera and a MSA Solaris 4-gas monitor.
Enigine 7-1 ia a 1982 Hahn that replaced our 1969 Seagrave engine. We purchased Engine 7-1 in 1996 and had it refurbished to include a 7 - man enclosed cab. It carries 7 MSA 4500psi SCBA and a RIT pack. It has a 1500gpm pump, 1000 gallon tank, and 4500 watt generator. It carries 1100 feet of 5-inch hose, three 1 3/4 inch mattaydales and one 3 inch preconnect. It is also equipped with an Amkus rescue system. Vettor air bags, and a MSA Solaris 4-gas monitor. Engine 7-1 is QRS ceritified and carries an AED.
Mini Pumper 7 is a 1971 Chevy 4 x 4. It has a 350 gpm PTO pump and 300 gallon tank. It carries 750 feet 3-inch hose, two 1 1/2 inch preconnections. Equipment includes all basic wildfire rtools, chainsae, 2 leaf blowers, weedwacker, a 4500 watt portable generator and 2 MSA 4500psi SCBA. Mini Pumper 7 was rehabbed in 1994.
Special Unit 7 is a Chevorlet surburban and was purchased in 1989. Also known as Squad 7 was used for medical assists on medical emergencies and to carry more personnel to the scence. Now the vehicle is used as a multipurpose vehicle to carry personnel, because of the housing on Biglerville's Ambulance.
